Gotta agree with the previous comment, this 2 CD compilation is vintage Nick Lowe, and covers most every phase of his stellar career. CD 1 has his early stuff, from Jesus Of Cool and Labour Of Lust (the really good stuff) to his hanging and marrying Carlene Carter (daughter of June Carter) phase, not so good stuff. CD 2 starts with his cuts from his release Party Of One, a really great album that almost nobody heard, to his more recent releases, which include some killer poignant songs, that make you want to really listen again and again.
I had the privilege of seeing Nick Lowe at HSB a couple of years back, in front of around 8000 'chatty' folks, just him and his guitar, singing these fabulous songs, and by the time he was done his set, you probably could have heard a pin drop.

Nick Lowe is one of the greatest pop/rock songwriters ever, in my opinion. This set is great way to get to know his catalog, which is extensive. Nick has rolled with the times and aged as gracefully as I've ever witnessed in the pop/rock world. So many great songs in here!

Been listening to Nick Lowe/Rockpile since the Labor of Lust LP...nice to hear some older stuff/versions of songs I wasn't familiar with. The first CD in the set is terrific, with its nice variety of tempos and moods -- but on CD #2 all the tunes are too similar...good songs mind you, but very much the same.
