This book took me a while to get into. I didn't understand the letters or the purpose until a bit later. I found the chapters too long and because of this it was hard to stay focused. It took me 2 months to get through this book when I can get through a book in 1-2 weeks. I did enjoy this read and I'm glad I finally finished it. I don't think I'd read the series though.

If you loved *Little Women,* especially if you were Jo's "kindred spirit" (to quote from *Anne of Green Gables*), you'll probably enjoy this. The premise is that the three sisters descend from Jo; Lulu, the main character, is a quirky Londoner who discovers great-great-grandmother Jo's letters in her parents' attic. A great summer, chick-lit read--assuming you love the Marches and their descendants.
