Some violence and drug content.
Honor begins at home. Four men, one calling: To serve and protect. As law enforcement officers, Adam Mitchell, Nathan Hayes, David Thomson, and Shane Fuller are confident and focused. Yet at the end of the day, they face a challenge that none of them are truly prepared to tackle: fatherhood. While they consistently give their best on the job, good enough seems to be all they can muster as dads. But they're quickly discovering that their standard is missing the mark. When tragedy hits home, these men are left wrestling with their hopes, their fears, their faith, and their fathering. Can a newfound urgency help these dads draw closer to God and to their children? Filled with action-packed police drama, COURAGEOUS is the fourth film from Sherwood Pictures, the moviemaking ministry of Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia. Viewers will once again find themselves laughing, crying, and cheering as they are challenged and inspired by everyday heroes who long to be the kinds of dads that make a lifelong impact on their children. Protecting the streets is second nature to these men. Raising their children in a God-honoring way? That's courageous. -

Some of the reviews on this movie say it is overly dramatic - I disagree. Life is dramatic, life is passionate, and life is painful. Courageous captures the full spectrum of raw humanity and makes it clear that the choices we make not only define us, but define the people we love and the community we live in. Every man should watch this. Faith, family, hope... and courage... a powerful testament to a father's love.

One of the greatest movies I've seen. Made me cry twice because it was soo good at emerging your emotion into what was happening on screen.

I really want to echo the comments listed below - I truly enjoyed the movie - it made me smile in parts and cry in parts and really showed why fathers are truly needed by their children.

I don't know what movie these other commenters watched, but we found it boring. Only lasted about 15 minutes.

I would just like to say that this movie played absolute havoc with my emotions - and I was re-watching it! I laughed really hard, and I almost cried (really rare for me.) There is a lot of emotional stress in this movie, so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone under thirteen. However, I couldn't recommend it higher to everyone else!! The message on fatherhood is so needed in today's culture, is it not? Additionally, I really appreciated that it didn't turn into a cop drama, there was no swearing, and it realistically portrayed family life - no sitcoms here! I loved it, and you should check it out! (Also, watch the Snake Kings scene. At least look it up on YouTube. Hilarious!)

Other: I just wanted to say that the someone dies in a car crash. not with a knife not with a gun or anything like that. That being said, there is on part were a young man gets beaten by some men in a gang. You can not see anything really, but you might not want your little kids watching it. there are some gun shots and punching at the end, but that is it. Other then that it was awesome!!!!!!!

We have the responsibility to mold
a life, and that can't be done

So where are you, men of courage?

Where are you, fathers who fear the Lord?

It's time to rise up and answer the call God has given you, and to say...I will,

I will,
