All is not well for brilliant but boorish Dr. Martin Ellingham as the hit British dramedy returns. To Martin's utter disgust, his medical practice remains under official scrutiny because of his pre-existing blood phobia, and he is forced to attend refresher courses starting with phlebotomy. His wife, Louisa, and aunt Ruth urge him to take this risk to his career seriously, but events conspire against him.

I've just started this season and am finding it very slow and predictable. Same stories from prior seasons just repackaged it seems. I don't know....just didn't have the energy level and
seemed contrived with too much jammed in to let lots of prior season characters have one
more bit of film time. Some main characters also seemed tired and different.

Lucy's right. Not the ending one hoped for, and the villagers' predictable and entirely preventable emergencies have become a bit annoying. The one ray of hope is that Doc will be motivated by loving, young family to expand and mature his very childish emotional response to people.

I love Doc Martin and enjoyed this series , until the last episode and the very weird ending!! I kept rewinding it and checking to see if I missed something. The ending made no sense and was the worst possible ending!! Now I have to wait two years, if and when, there is another series??? I am wondering if they know there won't be another series. . If why not, thn why not at least have a decent ending??? Bah humbug.
